The Friends of Bannerman Road were successful with a funding bid to the Road Safety Trust, which will support a new art/design commission and programme of events. The project will happen in a new pedestrian space that will be created when the road under the railway bridge (where All Hallows Road and Albion Road meet) is closed by Easton Safer Streets for Bristol City Council.
Children from the school have worked with artist Bahbak Hashemi Nezhad to discuss ideas for the space and test different uses (including a disco and pizza restaurant!). Work is due to start in summer 2019, so keep a look out for updates about the project. For further information, please contact Lucy Badrocke firstname.lastname@example.org.
